This year, in partnership with ROFMA (the Romanian Association for Workplace and Facility Management), we kicked off a new initiative aimed at elevating and professionalizing the real estate industry, the ROFMA Educational Caravan.
The “Introduction to Property & Facility Management” course is a two-day training designed for Romania’s key regional hubs.
The first session was held in Cluj-Napoca this April, and we’re excited to bring the next stop to Timișoara this May.
Fortim Trusted Advisors, alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate alliance, is represented by Costin Nistor, our Managing Director. Costin leads the module on Commercial Property Management, bringing real-world expertise.
His sessions dive into essential topics such as:
- The key roles in managing commercial properties and the differences between stakeholders, who’s responsible for what, and how do they collaborate?
- How a property manager can strategically position a building for a successful sale or lease.
Here’s what the Introduction Course in Facility & Property Management covers:

What’s changing in real estate and how does it affect property management?
Day one of the course kicked off with an engaging discussion on the latest trends in real estate and facility management. We explored best practices from around the country and how technology is streamlining operations for commercial building managers, whether they’re overseeing office buildings, shopping malls, or industrial spaces.
In addition to the course participants, the conversation brought together a diverse mix of guests: real estate developers from Cluj-Napoca, commercial property owners, representatives from banks, facility management providers, local authorities, and university staff.
Our team presented a hands-on case study focused on boosting a building’s market value, along with an in-depth analysis of the regional real estate landscape.
Costin Nistor delivered valuable insights in his session on “Boosting the Sale Value of Commercial Buildings and Increasing Service Charge Budgets.” He explained the critical role of the BOMA standard, Romania’s most widely recognized benchmark, in shaping building performance and value.
In his “Office Market Cluj-Napoca” talk, Bogdan Cange, Managing Partner for Business Development at Fortim Trusted Advisors, highlighted the growth opportunities in Cluj’s real estate sector and drew comparisons with Bucharest: Which city offers higher returns? What sectors are thriving? His presentation sparked plenty of discussion.
If you’re based in Timișoara and passionate about property or facility management, we’d love to welcome you at the next stop of the ROFMA Educational Caravan, happening at the end of May!
