On June 13, the team of Fortim Trusted Advisors, an alliance member of BNP Paribas Real Estate, took part in FESTIV@UP, an event organized in the forest in Lipănești, Prahova County, where the company has been actively involved over the past five years in afforestation initiatives carried out in the “Let’s Plant the CCIFER Forest” project.
Participation in this initiative is part of Fortim Trusted Advisors’ commitment to supporting sustainable development projects and actions with a positive impact on the environment and local communities. Over the past few years, company representatives have consistently taken part in planting campaigns, helping transform a symbolic initiative into a large-scale project that led to the planting of more than 40,000 acacia trees in the Lipănești area.
The FESTIV@UP event marked five years since the launch of the project and brought together around 200 participants from the Romanian-French business community, along with their families. Participants had the opportunity to rediscover the forest created through collective effort and enjoy outdoor activities in a natural setting that has already become a landmark for the community.
For us, taking part in this project has meant much more than simply planting trees. We have been there from the beginning and had the chance to see how an initiative born from the desire to contribute to environmental protection has turned into a concrete example of collaboration between companies, organizations and local communities. It is impressive to return after a few years and see the acacia trees grown, enjoy their shade and even the products resulting from this ecosystem, such as the locally produced acacia honey.
We were glad to spend this day together with colleagues, partners, families and children in a setting that shows that investments in sustainability lead to real and visible results. Projects like this prove that the business community can generate long-term positive change when there is consistency and commitment. The event program included walks through the forest and along the Teleajen River, open-air art exhibitions, honey and local product tastings, picnic activities and educational programs for children, all taking place in a space that illustrates the tangible impact of the afforestation efforts carried out in recent years.
Last year, the CCIFER Forest in Lipănești reached an important milestone: 40,000 acacia trees planted. And now, after 5 years, in the year when we celebrate 30 years of activity, we mark this anniversary through an event dedicated to nature, community and the joy of being together. Because beyond the numbers, what we celebrate today is the mobilization of a community. The hundreds of people, companies, volunteers, partners and authorities who contributed to building this story.
